Grace watches the Flaming Lips.

No, I don't have Grace and Diaper Man, yet--- but I would feel a little guilty putting that on the blog. ;-) Here is an awesome one of Grace digging the Flaming Lips. Drew really wants his little girl to be goth- and I really want her to steer clear of the "Hannah Montana's" and any boy bands...

this is really cute...

now that she's got "happy baby," "sad baby," and "laughing baby," etc., down pat, maybe it's time for her to give "goth baby" and hipster baby" a shot.

for goth baby, she could scowl at you whilst dancing to joy division or bauhaus; for hipster baby, she could look try a bored and judgmental expression.

oh, speaking of hipster baby, i found one of grace's b-day presents: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3172/2607460467_180566cb90_o.jpg i'll get it too big so she can wear it for a few years!

Hey mandy,

If memory serves me correctly, I recall on our adventure to Ponca, that you wailed and berated Drew until, under protest, he turned off the Flaming Lips. What an awful racket that was. The CD I mean. I think it was some crazy track from the album Yoshimi Battled the Pink Robots.

I was so relieved when the boys turned off that cacophonous nonsense and put Sixpence None the Richer back on. Who would have imagined so long ago that one day you would gladly expose your own child to the corrupting influences of this dark menace to all things truly musical. I am sorry Grace.

Your friend, Crystal

Actually- you MUST be mistaken. And terribly so. I have ALWAYS loved Flaming Lips--- and that particular album has always been one of my favorites... it may have been New Order or something like that- some of their music irks me... but it HAD to be something else. NO WAY was it Flaming Lips--- your memory does not serve you correctly. But I do remember Drew bought the Sundays and we listened to that at the beach. Haha!! Good times... let's do that again! Or Ponca!!
